Cafe Chaos Description
La Coopérative des Travailleuses et Travailleurs du Café Chaos opened its doors on August 27th, 1995, at 1635 St-Denis. After a little over eleven years of existance, it has become one of the pillars of the emerging arts and music scene in Montreal and its regions and is well spoken of in alternative arts and music circles through the province and abroad.
It consitutues the only permanent location where artists who are just beginning the musical careers can present their material under professional and affordabel conditions. This allows Chaos to act as a catalyst for the indie music and arts scenes and with its various partners, enables the cooperative to be an integral and essential element of the emerging music industry.
