Just when Montrealers were ready to roll their eyes at the St. Laurent craze, the city’s main is reborn with the foodie hangout Macaroni Bar. Located at the tip of the plateau, this is one hot spot the cognoscenti have no intention of turning their backs on. Macaroni Bar is, above all else, an eatery that takes fun seriously. One thing is for certain – we pay attention to detail. And it shows – from the service to the music, and of above all in the delicious food.

We put an innovative spin on wining and dining, with every intention of breaking conventions. We all had our fusion infatuation – but this time is forever! From our classic gnocchi poutine, to the popular salmon tacos, to the succulent rib-burger, we know how to bring fun back into your bite... All without giving you a run for your bling!

Sergio Mattoscio

A graduate of the prestigious Institut de Tourisme et d’Hotellerie du Québec, Sergio Mattoscio was one of the select few to serve as chef on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. He had the prized opportunity to train at a much-loved restaurant in Italy. Drawing inspiration from his experience shadowing contemporary chefs in New York and Las Vegas, he has come into his own and has manned the grills in various well-known Montreal restaurants. Having held executive chef positions at Med Grill and Rare, his star continues to rise at the Mac, where his signature dishes feature at the top of many of Montreal’s best restaurant lists.

Creatively combining classic Italian cooking, Asian accents, with a respectful nod to traditional fare, Mattoscio has become Macaroni Bar’s not-so-secret weapon. The true pioneer of the Fine Fun Cuisine, he orchestrates the fun on your plate. Who needs to follow conventions when you can enjoy his delicious mac pizza and maple indulged pork lollipops?
